TRI-STEP® is a unique three stepped threaded insert and mating hole combination designed for heat or ultrasonic installation into thermoplastic materials. The design incorporates two diameters of opposing helical knurls and a series of annular vanes. Available in three designs: high strength oversize, thin walled and miniature; all ranges provide high performance, excellent location, reduced insertion time and low in-place cost.
This M6 headed steel insert is used on Oil Filter Unit and replaces a high cost brass machined part. The demanding nature of the application requires high performance inserts. The insert has a special knurl pattern that was developed with the customer, allowing it to be rolled after cold-forming and meet a high torque and pull-out requirement. Special ZnNi plating developed by PSM.
Sonic-Lok® is designed for rapid installation into thermoplastics using heat or ultrasonic. It features opposed helical knurl bands to provide a combination of high torque and pull out resistance.
Hi-Tork is designed for high fill plastics with reduced installation depth. It is tolerant of moulding process variables and provides high process capability. Hi-Tork increases productivity and is available of providing "bolt break performance."
Tech-Sonic© is a unique combination of opposed knurls and knurled vanes which provides increased performance levels. Installation is simplified by the symmetrical nature of the insert, eliminating the need for orientation during manual or automatic feeding.
A miniature insert with all the design features and characteristics of the Tech-Sonic range. Mini-Tech© is necessary for smaller plastic products and enables the use of very small screws. It provides complete re-usability with no risk of thread stripping.
Taper-X® is designed for fastener installation into a 8° tapered hole. The combination of angled splines with upwardly directed vanes provides high torque and pull-out performance.
6030 Insert is designed for installation into thermoplastics when the design incorporates a tapered hole configuration. The parallel body design combined with the opposing helical knurl bands enables a 25% increase in productivity by the ability to reduce the recommended dwell time compared with standard tapered hole inserts.
Heat-Lok® is designed for heat installation into notch sensitive amorphous thermoplastics. It features rounded knurls, avoiding the stress raising sharp crests and roots which typify knurls used on the majority of inserts.
Screw-Sert® is designed for installation into a wide range of thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic materials. It is recommended for applications involving high jack-out loading and materials with low core strengths.
Flo-Tech® is a blind-ended threaded insert designed to meet the needs of those who prefer to mould-in. The unique design of three opposed helical knurl bands combined with the included recesses provide extremely high pull-out and torque performance.
MOLD-FORM is a high strength, low cost, cold formed steel INSERT for PLASTIC, designed for molding-in, giving a cost saving of up to 50%. Simply located on a pin and closed off by the opposing tool faces, it gives a clean flash free installation. Six large splines provide exceptional direct torque resistance, the head and the opposing flared-end resist high axial forces.
Fin-Lok® is a press-in insert which can be easily installed into most thermoplastic materials. It features a combination of sharp fins and straight knurls. Unlike the Press-Lok range, this insert has a free running thread.
Press-Lok© provides easy installation without the typical high screw installation torque. Its plain and knurled vanes offer the high levels of pull-out and torque resistance usually only seen with heat-installed inserts.
Spiro® is designed to manage the difficulties of hard brittle thermoset materials. The sharp precision knurl pattern cuts into these materials reducing radial stresses and allowing thinner boss walls compared to other inserts.
Banc-Lok® are press-in expansion inserts ideal for use in hard thermosetting plastics. It provides minimum penetration of the sides of the hole without sacrificing pull-out resistance due to its diamond knurl pattern.
